Osobac is a long alpine line on Prenj, with 1,200 metres of cable and about 480 metres of height gain. It starts with a vertical step, traverses a steep slab below a chimney and then follows an exposed ridge over Mali Osobac toward Veliki Osobac. Allow around three hours for the protected route.
The approach from Crno Polje takes about two and a half hours. The first part of the marked path crosses a mine-suspected area, so leaving the trail is unsafe. Near the start, the Jezerce mountain hut provides a useful landmark and a water source.
The national route catalogue currently lists Osobac as closed because of its poor condition. Do not use the cable unless the route steward has formally confirmed that repairs are complete and the closure has been lifted.
