Most asked questions
Booking & Payments
How far in advance should I book?
For popular routes and peak season (June-September), we recommend booking 2-4 weeks ahead. Off-season trips can often be arranged with just a few days' notice.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash (EUR or BAM). A deposit secures your booking, with the balance due on the day of the tour.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Cancellations 7+ days before departure receive a full refund. 3-6 days: 50% refund or full credit. Less than 72 hours: credit toward a future tour.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes! Groups of 4+ receive 10% off, and groups of 6+ receive 15% off. Contact us for custom group packages.
Preparation & Fitness
What fitness level do I need?
It varies by tour. Day hikes require moderate fitness (ability to walk 4-6 hours). Via ferrata needs upper body strength and head for heights. Multi-day tours require good endurance. Each tour page lists specific requirements.
I'm a beginner—is that okay?
Absolutely! Many of our tours are perfect for beginners. Via ferrata, in particular, is designed for people new to climbing. Our guides provide thorough instruction and support.
How should I prepare physically?
Start with regular cardio (hiking, running, cycling) 4-6 weeks before. For via ferrata, add some upper body work. Most importantly, break in your hiking boots well ahead of time!
What if I have a medical condition?
Please disclose any conditions during booking. We can accommodate many situations, but we need to know in advance to ensure your safety and comfort.
Gear & Equipment
What gear do I need to bring?
Each tour page lists specific requirements. Generally: hiking boots, weather-appropriate layers, water, snacks, and sun protection. Technical gear (harnesses, helmets, etc.) is provided.
Can I rent equipment?
Yes! We offer rental packages for via ferrata sets, helmets, backpacks, and camping gear. Reserve during booking to guarantee availability.
What about hiking boots?
Sturdy, ankle-supporting hiking boots with good grip are essential. Trail runners are not suitable for most of our tours. If you need recommendations, ask us!
Do you provide water and snacks?
We provide emergency supplies, but you should bring your own water (2L minimum) and snacks. Multi-day tours include meals as specified.
Weather & Safety
What happens if weather is bad?
We monitor forecasts closely. If conditions are unsafe, we'll reschedule, modify the route, or offer a full credit. Your safety always comes first.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes, we require travel/accident insurance that covers outdoor activities. Your policy should include emergency evacuation coverage for mountain terrain.
Are the tours safe for kids?
Some tours are family-friendly (marked on tour pages). Children must meet minimum age requirements and be accompanied by a guardian. Contact us to discuss options.
What's your guide-to-guest ratio?
Maximum 10 guests per guide on via ferrata and climbing, 6 on alpine scrambles. For technical routes and larger groups, we add a second guide to maintain safety and personal attention. Regular hiking tours don't have these strict limits and can accommodate larger groups.
