Lukomir tours from Sarajevo by hike or quad

A custom quad ride around Sarajevo that goes wherever your group wants to take it. Head up to Igman, push on toward the highlands and the old village of Lukomir, or keep it to a shorter loop on the forest roads outside the city. The start point is yours to pick too. With three or four quads we bring the machines to wherever you want to ride. Take one of our guides along, or head out on your own once you have had the briefing.

Not running at the moment

Tell us what kind of day you want and we build the route around it. Our guides know the terrain well enough to match a hike to your fitness, your interests and the hours you actually have. That might be a hard summit, an easy walk up a valley, or a day that takes in a village and a long lunch. This is the option to pick if you have something specific in mind, or if you have hiked here before and want to go somewhere new.

Runs year-round

Lukomir sits at about 1,470 metres on the edge of the Rakitnica Canyon and is Bosnia's highest permanently inhabited village: a cluster of stone houses with steep roofs where shepherds still bring their flocks up for the summer. The trail starts in Umoljani and crosses open highland pasture to the village, with the canyon dropping away beside you for much of the way. You have time to walk through Lukomir and eat in the village before heading back.
