A grade B route on Kamena Glava, the rise between Gljiva and Leotar above Trebinje, about four kilometres from the town centre. 200 metres of installed cable for 130 metres of height difference, reached by a 15-minute walk on a marked path from the information board, and crossed in about an hour by a small group.
The line is equipped with steel pins and a cable fitted with footholds, which is what keeps a route this steep at grade B.
Opened in mid-April 2024, built by Ferrata Adventure BiH for Aero Klub Trebinje, who hold the concession, on an idea by Zoran Petrović Pete. It was designed for beginners and first-time visitors rather than experienced climbers, and does not appear in the national catalogue.
Climbing it alone is not permitted. The club requires that you notify a guide by phone beforehand, requires certified equipment, and monitors the route by video. A suspension bridge and harder variants have been announced.
It is the second via ferrata in the Trebinje area alongside Vučji Zub on Orjen, and much the more accessible of the two — Vučji Zub carries a two-and-a-half-hour approach.
How we know this
BOA has not inspected Kamena Glava. The figures on this page come from published sources, not from our own survey. Cable and anchor condition changes. Nothing here is a substitute for checking the route yourself before you climb.
Condition reports
Written by visitors who have climbed Kamena Glava, not by BOA, and not checked by us before they appear. Treat them as one climber’s account on one day — useful, but never clearance to climb.
No condition reports yet. If you have climbed this route, yours would be the first.
