Hum climbs the long limestone wall directly above Mostar. The route has about 600 metres of protected terrain, gains roughly 350 metres and crosses three suspension bridges. The cable begins almost beside the road, so the 90-minute climb and the hour-long walk off account for nearly all of the outing.
The climbing is steady rather than crux-heavy. Long sections use natural rock and steel steps at a similar level, with the bridges separating the main parts of the wall. The height builds gradually, opening the view across the Neretva valley and the Old Bridge.
The route has no published official grade. BOA grades it B/C from guiding it, which places it above Fortica and Vulin Potok in commitment. It can suit an ambitious first-timer who is fit and calm at height, though it is a more natural second route.
