Opine is closer to a protected hill path than a sustained rock climb. Its published length is two kilometres, but the route gains height gradually across easy A/B terrain. One more upright section appears near the end, followed by old Austro-Hungarian fortifications close to the exit.
From the end of the paved road in the Opine neighbourhood, follow the gravel track into the canyon. The approach takes about 15 minutes, the protected route around one hour and the return on the old Austro-Hungarian road roughly 45 minutes.
The published route guide warns that the parking place, entry information and return path are not clearly marked. Confirm the line of approach locally and carry reliable navigation rather than depending on signs alone.
