Fortica is a short protected route on the west-facing wall above Mostar. It has 200 metres of cable, 80 metres of height gain and a suspension bridge partway through. Most of the line is A/B, with a few short C moves, and the crossing usually takes about 30 minutes.
The approach begins near the middle zipline station and drops below the ridge to the cable in roughly ten minutes. During the climb the Old Bridge and the city remain in view. The top is beside the Fortica Skywalk and the sport climbing area, rather than on an isolated summit.
The route is also known as Đavolje Stepenice, or Devil's Stairs. You can return by the steps and the marked approach path, or follow the marked path uphill from the exit to the zipline station.
