Vulin Potok runs above Blagaj on a mix of horizontal traverses and short vertical steps. The line has 500 metres of cable, gains about 150 metres and is graded A/B. Because it crosses the wall more than it climbs straight up, the route stays technically approachable despite its length.
From the climbing centre beside the Buna, a marked path reaches the cable in about ten minutes. Allow roughly 45 minutes on the route. A few steeper passages break up the easier traverses without changing the overall grade.
Two marked returns are possible: the path below the fortress, or the route toward the Rebro climbing area and on to the fortress road. The Buna spring, Blagaj Tekke and the old fortress are close enough to visit on the same day.
BOA guides climb Vulin Potok regularly. Cable and anchor condition changes; your guide checks the route on the day.
Route & suitability
500 metres of cable above Blagaj with about 150 metres of height gain, ten minutes from the road. Graded A/B: it traverses sideways more than it climbs, which keeps it technically easy for its length, around 45 minutes on the cable with a few steeper pitches. The Buna spring and the dervish house are minutes away when you finish.
