"We had an amazing time today with our tour guide Emir, he picked us up and brought us to a shooting range where he showed us how to safely handle the weapons. It was very cool. Afterwards he brought us to a museum where he explained about the weapons and the stories behind them. Then we drank some coffee and had some nice conversations. Overall great experience, he takes good care of you so we can definitely recommend booking with him!"

Route & suitability
Two old royal and Ottoman capitals of central Bosnia in one day, in a private car with your own guide. Travnik was the seat of the Bosnian viziers, with a hilltop fortress, the painted Colourful Mosque and the clear spring of Plava voda. Further west, Jajce is built around a waterfall where the Pliva drops straight into the Vrbas in the middle of town, under the fortress of the last Bosnian kings. On the way back you walk among the wooden watermills between the Pliva lakes.
Best for
- Travellers who want history, old towns and waterfalls without a mountain day.
- Couples, families and small groups who want their own pace and stops.
Not ideal for
- Anyone who doesn't want a long day: there are about five hours of driving in total.
- Guests who want something active. Pick the Pliva Lakes paddleboarding day instead.
Leave early and do Travnik first. That puts you in Jajce in the afternoon light, which is when the waterfall photographs best.
