Route & suitability

From never having skied to linking turns on an easy run. Every morning we pick you up in Sarajevo and drive you to Jahorina or Bjelašnica, where your rental is fitted and your instructor is waiting on the beginner slope. Each day has three hours of lessons, with time afterwards to practise before we drive you back. Try it for one day, take a weekend, or book three days in a row: most first-timers spend day one on the basics, and it is days two and three that make it stick. With four or five days, most people are comfortable on the mountain on their own.

Best for

  • First-timers who want to learn properly in a few days, for much less than in the Alps.
  • Couples and families where some ski and some do not: the skiers can take our ski day or weekend on the same days.

Not ideal for

  • Anyone who can already ski down a blue run: take the ski day or weekend instead.
  • Young children: ask us first, as kids' lessons are arranged differently.

If you can, book at least a weekend, and better three days in a row. The first day is mostly balance and stopping, and most people only start to enjoy it on day two. Bring proper gloves: you will be in the snow more than you expect.

Good to know

  • Priced per mountain and number of days, because lift passes cost different amounts. Jahorina: €245 for one day, €460 for a weekend, €680 for three days. Bjelašnica: €225, €440 and €655.
  • Each extra learner adds their own lift pass, rental and instructor time: €185, €350 or €520 on Jahorina and €170, €335 or €500 on Bjelašnica. Only the transport is shared.
  • Every price includes three hours of lessons a day, rental, lift passes and transport. Want four hours a day? Add €35 per learner per day; ask on WhatsApp.
  • For complete beginners, and for anyone who skied once years ago and wants to start again properly.
  • Lessons are private, or shared with your own group of up to three, so the instructor's time is all yours.
  • Consecutive days work far better than days spread over a week. Ask for four or five days if you have the time.
  • No deposit. Nothing is paid until we confirm your dates and your instructor.

Itinerary

  1. Each morning: pickup in Sarajevo around 8:30 and the drive to the mountain
  2. Rental fitted at the base (the first day takes longer)
  3. Three hours of lessons with your instructor on the beginner slopes, with a break
  4. Lunch on the mountain, then free practice on the same slopes
  5. Drive back to Sarajevo around 16:00
  6. On a three-day course: turning and stopping on an easy blue run by day three
