Srce Veleža climbs the north wall below Botin, the highest summit of Velež. The route starts on lower-angled rock, moves right into a traverse and then climbs a series of chimneys and ledges. An overhanging section is followed by steep slabs, a final leftward traverse and the ridge toward Botin.
The line is graded C/D, with 500 metres of cable and about 350 metres of height gain. Allow roughly two hours on the protected route. Falling rock is a concern on the stacked terrain, so spacing between climbers matters.
The approach comes from the Nevesinje side via Jezero and the amphitheatre below the wall, taking about two hours. The marked return over Botin and Jaram takes around four hours. Bivak Armin Gazić lies on the south side of the mountain and can provide shelter, but this remains a long high-mountain day that depends on stable weather.
