Ormanj is a short practice route above Pazarić, built for learning via ferrata movement on grade B/C terrain. The cable is 80 metres long, gains about 60 metres and takes around 20 minutes to climb.
The approach starts at the Ormanj mountain lodge, follows the forest road toward Javor and passes a spring before the final turn toward the crag. Allow about 35 minutes. There is no waymarking on the way in, and the last stretch goes straight through forest, so plan on reading the terrain rather than following signs.
BOA has inspected the route on the ground. The hardware is in poor condition: the rungs are thin, and the cable is thin and rusted. We do not recommend climbing Ormanj as it stands.
The national route catalogue reaches the same conclusion, warning that the installation is in very poor condition because of inadequate materials and construction. Do not climb it unless a local steward has confirmed that the route has been repaired and reopened.

The cable and anchors are very rusty, and the cable and staples are too thin, causing them to bend under the weight. The experience is uncomfortable because you are exposed all the way to the top, and the issues with the cable and staples make you feel unsafe. The route is poorly marked, difficult to find, and difficult to get back from. The path is also not properly cleaned or maintained.
