A full day down the Neretva from Sarajevo to Mostar in a private car with your own guide. You stop at the Ottoman bridge in Konjic and the wrecked railway bridge at Jablanica, spend the middle of the day in Mostar's old town and on the Old Bridge, then finish at the dervish house in Blagaj, where the Buna river comes out of the cliff, and the hilltop fortress village of Počitelj. The pace and the stops are yours to change, and if you want something more active, add a via ferrata above Mostar.
Best for
- Travellers with one day to see Herzegovina from Sarajevo without driving or joining a bus tour.
- Couples, families and small groups who want to set their own pace and stops.
Not ideal for
- Anyone who doesn't want a long day: there are about five hours of driving in total.
- Guests who want a full mountain day. Pick one of our hikes or via ferratas instead.
Start early. Mostar's old town is calmest before the coach tours arrive around midday, and an early start leaves time for both Blagaj and Počitelj on the way back.
Good to know
- Price is €180 for one guest and €70 for each additional person, with private transport from Sarajevo and back included.
- Entrance tickets (the Blagaj tekke, and the Old Bridge museum if you want it) and lunch are paid on the day.
- Want to climb? Add a via ferrata above Mostar for €40 for the first guest and €30 for each extra. Gear is included and no experience is needed.
