Trebević is Sarajevo's home mountain, straight up from the city, and its forest trails run past what is left of the 1984 Winter Olympics. You walk the bobsled track, now covered in graffiti and slowly going back to the trees, then climb to the viewpoints where the whole valley opens up below with its minarets and church towers.

Skakavac drops 98 metres in a single fall, one of the highest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it sits in forest 12 kilometres from Sarajevo. The walk in is easy and mostly shaded, which makes this a good option on a hot day. Transport from Sarajevo is included, and the day is unhurried enough to sit at the falls for a while and still add a longer loop through the nature park.
