The day
Klečka stijena is the limestone plateau that stands between Jablanica and Prozor, and Vihar, at 1,154 metres, is its highest point. From the village of Kućani at 870 metres the trail climbs through forest, in the shade for a good part of the way, then comes out onto open rock with Jablaničko and Ramsko lakes below and Prenj, Čvrsnica, Vran and Raduša around the horizon. The loop is about 11 kilometres with around 600 metres of climbing and nothing technical on it, a solid day out at a steady pace that suits people with less mountain experience. It is old ground too: the village of Klek below the plateau keeps a necropolis of medieval stećak tombstones, and pottery fragments have turned up along the trail to the summit. One fixed date, one price, and whoever signs up walks it together.
If the weather threatens the safety or feasibility of the hike, the date may be moved.
By signing up you confirm you are responsible for your own physical condition, join at your own risk, and will follow the guide's instructions on the route.
